Ole Steen Jørgensen received his medical degree (Doctor of Medicine) from University of Copenhagen in 1989 and went on to do residency and specialist training in several different hospitals in the Copenhagen area.
After four years at Örebro University Hospital in Sweden, where he took part in the developing of (endoscopic) arthroscopic surgical techniques, dr Jørgensen became an orthopedic specialist in 1995. The following year, he also became specialized in general surgery. Ever since then, he has acquired a broad knowledge base and experience in orthopedic surgery at county hospitals in Sweden of one of which he was head of the trauma -upper extremities and arthroscopic surgery section – at Halland’s county hospital in Halmstad.
Orthopedic consultant at Spenshult private hospital between 2010 and 2014, where Dr Jørgensen performed 400-600 prosthetic surgery on the shoulders, hips and knees as well as arthroscopic surgical procedures on the knees, shoulders, ankles and elbows annually. Hence, he has substantial experience of, for example, ACL reconstructions, advanced ligament reconstruction of the knee joints as well as shoulder tendon injury repairs and shoulder joint instability.
In addition to his business in Sweden, Ole Steen Jørgensen has worked in England, primarily performing prosthetic surgery on the shoulders, hips and knees. In 2014, Activemotion Orthopedic Surgery in Sweden was established and through which more than 1200 Swedish patients have been operated in Denmark since then.
